What are Anti-Oxidants?
As the skin is exposed to environmental elements such as sunlight, smoke and air pollution, free radicals are formed in the skin. These free radicals attack the skin’s collagen layer, break it down and cause lines and wrinkles to appear. This process is called photo-aging. Research has shown that anti-oxidants can help improve skin tone and elasticity, and help improve the appearance of the skin damaged by photo-aging.

Why use Sunscreen?
Exposure to the sun is a primary cause of premature aging and a threat to overall health as it is a proven cause of skin cancer. The depletion of the ozone layer, allowing harmful ultra-violet rays to penetrate the atmosphere, makes sun exposure even more hazardous. Sunscreen is essential to protect the skin from damaging sun radiation and prevent further damage. Dermatologists strongly recommend a sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15 or greater for all skin types. Sunscreen’s should be applied liberally before sun exposure, and reapplied as needed or after towel drying, swimming or perspiring. Sun protection is the principal means of preventing premature aging and skin cancer.
